About Me

The feeling, the sense and narrative, the emotive content of a portrait is something that is implanted in my memory form the first moment I saw one of Damon Baker’s portraits. The subtle balance between a staged portrait yet a natural moment shared between two people. It was these images that first inspired me to pursue a career within portrait photography. I wanted to be the one who could take photographs without an explanation that made people stop and stare, to not only question what’s occurring in the image but to also question themselves and what this means to them.

I began my journey in college where i had learned many new skills and techniques that has helped me gain confidence. These skills helped me massively when it came to photography as they allowed me to talk about my work confidently during group critiques, not shying away from feedback and seeing it as constructive rather than negative. Now graduated at De Montfort University with a Bachelors of Arts in photography at a level 2:2, I can see a huge difference in terms of the level i began with, my work progression and a boost in my confidence whilst absorbing new skills and techniques.

I mainly contribute myself in family and newborn portraits along side weddings. I want to help provide my customers with a sense of satisfaction and nostalgia by having the important people and memories they have, captured into a single photo.
